In June, 15 members of Art Library Society of North America (ARLIS/NA) will travel to São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.  MassArt’s own, Rachel Resnik will be participating in the trip.  The study tour program is organized by the ARLIS International Relations Committee (IRC) with the intent to pursue relationships with institutions and librarians outside of North America.  Last summer, members of ARLIS/NA (including Darin Murphy of the School of the Museum of Fine Arts) traveled to Budapest, Hungary and Vienna, Austria.  This year, while abroad in Brazil, the group will spend time in numerous museums and libraries, getting a look at collections in the Museu de Arte de São Paulo, the Biblioteca Mario de Andrade, the Museu Nacional das Belas Artes, the Museu de Arte Moderna, and others.  They will also participate in a symposium on recent and emerging trends in art librarianship with fellow historians and librarians.  Learn more about the trip here. Bon voyage!
