  • The FLO Office Has Moved!

Submitted by Alexandra on May 3, 2016

Due to the Wentworth library renovation project the Fenway Libraries Online Office will be located in Suite 215 on the second floor of 610 Huntington Avenue for the duration of the summer.  A Wentworth ID is not required for entry, but guests will need to sign in upon entering the main doors.

The entrance to 610 Huntington Ave is down the path behind the Leopard Statue.  See the campus map for more details.

We look forward to returning our office to Beatty Hall when the project is complete in the fall.

  • The Commonwealth Catalog Reaches 50,000 Requests

Submitted by Alexandra on February 3, 2016

The Commonwealth Catalog (ComCat) went live on April 1, 2015 with four, eager library networks.  Now the system supports the borrowing and lending of nine networks and two universities, and their patrons have been busy!  ComCat has had over 6,800 new users added since January 1, 2016 and by mid-January, the system processed its 50,000th request.

ComCat’s collections will continue to grow as other networks prepare to join the system in the coming year.  If you are a FLO patron or staff member and haven’t yet tried placing a request in the Commonwealth Catalog, click the link to get started.

  • Tricks and Treats

Submitted by Alexandra on October 26, 2015

It’s that time of year again, the leaves are changing, the temperatures are dropping, and pumpkins are popping up everywhere - it’s Halloween!  FLO institutions and libraries are celebrating the season in a variety of ways.

The libraries at Emmanuel College and Lesley University both had specially curated seasonal book displays.  Lesley even made theirs into a book-o-lantern!

Wentworth Institute of Technology had a spooky bake sale where you could vote for your favorite treat (no tricks!).

Wheelock College went all-out with their annual Freak Weekend festival with games, snacks, and more-- even toilet paper pumpkin bowling.

However you celebrate, have a Happy Halloween!
