Member Benefits
Full & Affiliate Memberships
FLO has full and affiliate member libraries. FLO full member libraries share a library system that is supported by FLO and have access to a variety of products and services as well as group e-content purchasing.
Affiliate member libraries of FLO do not participate in FLO’s shared library system but can subscribe to products and services offered by FLO, including hosting and support of systems and group e-content purchasing. For a full list of systems and e-content FLO supports, see Systems and E-Content.
Professional Development
All members of FLO can benefit from professional development opportunities within the FLO community. FLO offers opportunities to connect and collaborate with LIS professionals around Boston each year, including the FLO Annual Meeting and Annual Information Literacy Symposium. Committees and Communities of Interest provide additional ways for staff to get involved in the FLO community and grow professionally.
FLO member library staff are eligible for a subscription to the Informed Librarian Online, a resource for library professionals. Please contact the FLO Helpdesk if you have any questions about accessing the Informed Librarian Online.
